Job summary
• The Senior General Maintenance position is responsible for all maintenance works in the Hatchery and Breeder farm and supervises installations and assembly work done by other technicians and external vendors. The main objective of the position is to ensure effective and efficient work of all Electrical, plumbing, sanitary, machines (Generators, setters, Hatcheries, feed mill, compressors, AC, Chiller, Injector machines, water pumps and Air conditioners), repair of building parts (doors & windows), and wood works in the farm by coordinating of the team and his involvement. The maintenance activity performed with the procedures, schedules and guides given by the manager. He/she communicate with the production in order to make smooth the operation. Then by doing this he/she assure to fulfill the operation requirements to maximize production. These all are done based on maintenance procedures and company policy.

Areas of Responsibility to include (But not Limited)
• Prepare maintenance and repair SOP, procedure, Schedule and adhere for it.
• Follow all rules, procedures and policies of the company for maintenance operation.
• Use all rules and procedures given by the maintenance operation, as long as required.
• Ensure compliances of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
• Make effective maintenance of Building Electrical installation, machine maintenance, and equipment maintenance.
• Make effective plumbing work, sanitary work, building parts repair and wood works.
• Coordinates renovation of existing facilities and construction of new facilities as requests raised and order and by self-starter
• Make the down time of machine, equipment, utilities and facilities in an optimum working condition.
• Execute the preventive maintenance and other maintenance activities according the given scheduled.
• Conduct general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hard wares, hanging shelves and etc....
• Forecasting proper and timely supply of spare parts, components, accessories, materials, consumables and tools with proper inventory control.
• Keep records for utilization of spare parts, material consumed and maintenance records.
• Follow up and supervise daily maintenance works
• Follow up enough water is available at the tankers/ water reservoirs and pump when accordingly,
• Ensure all maintenance activity maintains health and safety, biosecurity, residue and animal welfare programs
• Manage the hatchery maintenance function maximizing throughput of all products
• Maintain hatchery facility, plant and equipment
• Maximize labour utilization and cost control
• Supervising, instructing, training and evaluating of maintenance team
• Responsible for completing all data where applicable for closing work orders daily after delivery to production and their sign for acceptance.
• Implementing weekly preventive maintenance of machines and sending reports to direct supervisor
• Controlling and reporting spare inventory on a weekly basis
• Willing to be on-call and open his phone cell all time including night time in case of Emergency.
• Execute related duties as given by the manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrates functional knowledge of Electrical installation system, machine maintenance (Setter and Hatcher machines, Generator, Electrical pumps, Compressors, Injector machines, Cooling systems and Equipment), and repair of plumbing system.
• Demonstrates functional knowledge of the safety precautions of the maintenance works.
• Has skill of Coaching and coordinating maintenance team.
• Ability to meet and deal with team employee, and Internal/External customers.
• Ability to read and understand drawings of Electrical, plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical installation, plumbing, sanitary works and other related systems of the farm.
• Ability to inspect, operate and maintain the heating, cooling and ventilation system and Generator follow up.
• Has knowledge of tools and material handling properly, and lead the team to follow.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
• Has skill to services Generator, feed mill, Ac/cooler machine and electrical machines.
• Through knowledge of the hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
• Ability to follow maintenance procurers work orders and made records after maintenance executions.
• Physical ability and flexibility to perform duties and responsibilities of the job.
• The candidate must have the flexibility to work weekend, night and holiday shifts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
2. Professional/Area of study/
• Electrical Technology
• Electrical Industrial control drive, and in other related fields
• Electrical engineering
3. Experience
• 4 years and above
