WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Verifying compliance of all company operations as required by ISO
  •  Carrying out process capability studies to maintain alignment between process capability and specification limits in processing and filing operations
  • Implement ISO on the GET IT premises to assure consumer safety and overall quality of all deliveries
  • Implement the on-going verification of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) prerequisite programs such as pest control, hygienic controls etc.
  •  Ensure the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal and ISO requirements
  • Evaluate suppliers ability to meet ISO standards and audits
  • Train staff on the following:
    o Product handling
    o All ISO Requirements
    o Personal Hygiene as per ISO
    o Facilities Hygiene
  • Representing the management during external audits; Conduct internal audits
  • Preparing and mange documents and business correspondences, including proof reading, editing and formatting procedures, forms, reports, communications and related documents along with verification records for those documents
  • Scheduling and coordinating trainings, meetings, events and activities related to Safety, Health, Environment and ISO
  •  Manage inspections and auditing programs (Internal and external, Safety, Health, ISO audits and supplier’s audits, withdrawals and recalls)
  • Conducting training to new staff and interns including but not limited to safety induction as part of the company quality strategy
  •  Investigating and setting standards for quality and health and safety
  • Work with the Management to establish processes, standards, systems and procedures when required
  • Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality
  • Determine staff training needs
  • Monitor Receiving and Fulfillment team members’ performance
  • Work with the HR Lead on related matters, including but not limited to disciplinary matters
  • Ensure the Fulfillment and Receiving Team, at all times, adheres to clearly defined company Processes, Procedures and Standards that meet ISO/ FSMS requirements. This includes responsibility for producing and archiving all mandated company records on different aspects of the Fulfillment and Receiving Process and within the scope of our FSMS system
  • Ensure safe working practices as per company guidelines and minimize spoilage of products through care and diligence.
  • Monitor our suppliers’ vehicles as well as our delivery vehicles for ISO compliance.
  • Record all FSMS activities including meeting minutes

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required qualifications, Professional experience, competencies and experience
Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Nutrition or related fields or Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Nutrition or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of related field experience and/or training preferable in a fast paced manufacturing environment and/or food manufacturing facility.
  • Required proof of the completion of HACCP certification training
  • Knowledge: Quality control, quality assurance, Safe Quality Food Standard (SQF), HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), the functionality of various raw materials, packaging materials, production scale food operations, and food-related laws and regulations.

  • Excellent written and spoken English and Kinyarwanda skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to easily absorb new information and put it right to good use
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense to understanding and carrying out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions. Must have the ability to resolve and deal with simple problems involving concrete variables in situations within the production processing operation.
  • Must have basic comprehension of reports that she or he needs to fill out, including high level of skill with Excel and Word
