About Kepler College

Kepler College is a competency-based higher learning institution accredited in Rwanda with a mission to prepare young Africans with global competencies and mindsets to solve local challenges. We offer high-quality, affordable, and employment-driven higher education at the intersection of management and technology. Our academic programs are designed to equip students with foundational skills and attitudes, and subject matter expertise for direct entry to the workplace. Through our partnership with Southern New Hampshire University, we continue to support our students towards earning Bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Management while at the same time expanding our offerings, starting with the Bachelor of Arts in Project Management and the Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics. Over the next five years, Kepler College plans to serve more than 2,500 students while maintaining ninety percent of graduates securing gainful employment within six months after graduation.

Project Summary

The consultant will complete the student and teacher materials for a blended learning module in Project Sustainability Management.

The curriculum should be planned to be delivered through a blended learning methodology. The curriculum should be written in English.

Consultancy Deliverables (Deadline for Project March 15, 2025)

Materials for 20 instructional sessions about Project Sustainability Management addressing at a minimum the indicative content and competencies indicated in the Module Description Form in Appendix A (see below).

  • Materials should be interactive and encourage students to think critically and apply the concepts within real world contexts
  • Materials should include activities designed to help instructors and students assess their progress toward the competencies listed in Appendix A.
  • Materials can draw from high-quality online sources as needed for video, audio, or written sources of information.
  • Materials and full answer guides for 3 assessments, including an individual project or paper, a presentation, and a final project suitable to be completed in a small group setting
  • Rubrics for the technical competencies listed below (all soft skills rubrics will be provided by Kepler College)
  • All deliverables will receive feedback from the Kepler College Faculty and the  Learning and Design Team. Consultant should plan for at least two rounds of feedback on all three assessments and on the first two sessions of materials. All other class sessions will receive overall feedback upon submission but should only need one round of general feedback to be implemented.

Please note that deliverables can be completed before the deadlines should the consultant wish to finish earlier.

Deliverable Expectations

  • All deliverables should be professionally formatted, free of grammatical errors, and contain a proper citation of sources.
  • Materials should be written clearly and with concise explanations of key concepts with links to materials to support the students’ learning as needed.

Each session materials should include:

  • Clearly defined learning outcomes that are aligned to the associated assessment
  • Clear criteria for success on any formative assessment that explains which elements an instructor should look for in the student’s work and what “success” looks like
  • Examples and models for students that are appropriately contextualized for the location/culture
  • Varied activities that engage students as active learners independently, in partners, or in small groups

Consultant Qualifications

  • Experience writing interactive, learner-focused curriculum documents that integrate technology
  • Demonstrated ability to create trainings for adult learners
  • Experience designing project-based assessments and accompanying rubrics
  • Expert knowledge of project management in business contexts, preferably in East Africa
  • Receptive to feedback and collaboration with Kepler College subject matter experts
