  Children’s Voice Today (CVT) is an organization that was established to promote the rights of the child through meaningful child participation where children/youth initiate and lead all activities of the organization (Child/youth-led organization).
Children’s Voice Today (CVT) Rwanda is a member of the African Movement of Working Children and Youth (AMWCY) which was established by children and youth themselves to find solutions to the problems of working children and youth while promoting their rights and creating a safe environment for all children.
Children’s Voice Today (CVT) is envisioning a child-friendly society whereby children are empowered to meaningfully participate in addressing issues affecting them and that their voices are heard.
With its mission, CVT is committed to be the voice of Rwandan children, to empower them to advocate for their rights and to fight against poverty.
Children Voice Today (CVT), in partnership with Save the Children International (SCI) Rwanda, is implementing a five-year project funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) known as ‘Accountable Governance delivering child rights in Rwanda’. The project started in the current year of 2017 and is expected to phase out at the end of 2021. The project is going to be implemented in four districts (Burera, Kirehe, Ruhango, and Nyarugenge) and has got national level interventions. Under this framework, CVT is recruiting Project Officer who will support its implementation in Kirehe District.

  Job Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for the implementation of day to day activities of the project in Kirehe district to ensure effective, efficient and cost-sensitive implementation.
• Facilitate training and sensitization sessions for children, local leaders and child protection committee members and other community opinion leaders
• Organize and facilitate community-based child-led groups activities.
• Collaborate with local authorities to ensure the smooth implementation of the project
• Contribute to the annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly planning of project activities
• Document and report the level of implementation of the project in the assigned district on a regular basis
• Conduct regular data collection on project activities using monitoring tools.
• Contribute to the development of the quality monthly, quarterly and annual reports in accordance with the donor agreed schedules and requirements.
• Effectively participate in coordination mechanisms with other Child Protection and participation stakeholders within the districts of interventions.
• With the guidance from the line manager, be responsible, in the assigned District, for facilitating budget planning, regular budget projection, expenditure monitoring, and budget reporting, in compliance with CVT system and procedures.
• Produce and submit quality budget monitoring report of the assigned District on a regular basis.
• Support logistical arrangement related to the project implementation.
• Ensure that CVT Child safeguarding Policy is followed to ensure the maximum protection of children.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning / Research
• Support the planning, evaluation and review meetings
• Document and report the level of implementation of the project
• Regular data collection on project activities using monitoring tools
• Ensure that quality, monthly, quarterly and other reports are developed and submitted in accordance with agreed schedules
CVT representation
• Effectively participate in coordination mechanisms with other stakeholders.
• Represent CVT in different fora with guidance from the Project Coordinator and ensure that the staff team is kept updated
General accountability
• Comply with the requirements of CVT Child safeguarding policy to ensure maximum protection for children

  Job Qualifications:
• University degree in Social Sciences, psychology, child rights, and any other related field
• Demonstrable skills and experience in project implementation, preferably having worked with NGO
• Listening skills
• Community mobilization skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Skills in training facilitation
• Good understanding of the Child Protection and participation field
