JOB DETAILS:
Position Summary:
• The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Internee position is to provide professional development and experiential training to new graduates in the area of impact measurement, monitoring, evaluation and learning, Under the direct supervision of Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, the MEL will support the USAID Schools and Systems Tunoze Gusoma Activity in project monitoring and evaluation activities.

Responsibilities and Activities:
• Support the MEL in entering the M&E data collected using the designed data collection platform (ODK, Tangerine and DHIS 2 system) or Excel spreadsheets
• Support in data verification and cleaning
• Support in data collection for project routine monitoring
• Support the study data validation checks
• Use statistical software for qualitative and quantitative analysis to efficiently analyze M&E data
• Contribute to preparing program presentations by supplying analyzed data in form of graphics, etc.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., education, statistics, applied mathematics Information communication technology; etc.)
• Knowledge on research methods
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data analysis and collection, especially treatment of surveys
• Ability to learn quickly good communication skills, both verbal and written, including listening skills and the ability to build trust and credibility in the communities
• Willing to travel to project sites and sometimes work during odd hours
• Committed and proactive self-starter
• Good writing and communication skills in English; fluency in spoken Kinyarwanda and French
• Must be proficient in the use of MS Office
