The Rwanda Institute for Cooperative, Entrepreneurship, and Microfinance (RICEM) was launched in June 2014 as a Vocational Technical Institute for the three pillars, namely Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship, and Microfinance. RICEM in partnership with theAssociation of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR), and other key Microfinance stakeholders introduced a professional training program for Microfinance known as Certified Microfinance Professional Program (CMP) since 2021. CMP is composed of two levels i.e. CMP Level 1 and CMP Level 2. The training is built around a competency-based approach to teaching and learning, which includes the development of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behavior.
RICEM is currently calling upon interested trainees especially workers of Microfinance institutions to apply for the coming January intake 2025 for the CMP Level 1 and Level 2 training programs. The deadline for application is 20th December 2024. Requirements to apply for CMP level 1
For Trainees of CMP Level 1: The applicant should fulfill one of the first 4 main criteria (in bold) plus the last two below:

For Trainees of CMP Level 2: The applicant should fulfill one of the first 2 main criteria (in bold) plus the last two below:

Note: This announcement is primarily for MFI employees at the technical level and managerial levels. Senior Six leavers and fresh graduates interested in joining the MFI sector are also encouraged to apply in CMP Level 1 under Dual Apprenticeship System starting by January 2025.
