Job Description:
The candidate will serve as a Finance Manager. The candidate will work closely with management, who shall assign the day-to-day duties, including but not limited to the following:
ā¢ Prepare the firmās quarterly financial reports.
ā¢ Track budget/expenses to ensure proper cash flow.
ā¢ Assist with financial/tax audit preparation.
ā¢ Ensure any taxes declaration and payments are done promptly. Excellent knowledge of the Rwanda Revenue Authority filing systems is a MUST.
ā¢ Prepare the monthly staff payroll.
ā¢ Reconcile, monthly, the firmās bank account(s) statements.
ā¢ Manage the firmās petty cash.
ā¢ Maintain cheque register & cheque books in a safe.
ā¢ Participate in budgeting and cash forecasts process.
ā¢ Maintain the firmās assets inventory.
ā¢ Support the firmās financial management /accounting system.
ā¢ Prepare payments after ensuring that supporting documents have been provided.
ā¢ Maintain journal entries of wire transfers and receipts.
ā¢ Record all transactions into the accounting system.
ā¢ Follow-up on payment inquiries as necessary.
ā¢ Organize and maintain an accounting filing system (electronic & hard copies).
ā¢ Assure accuracy of supporting documentation and entries for accounts reporting.
ā¢ Resolve any discrepancies or clarification for accounting records.
ā¢ Analyze staff receivables and other advances to ensure accurate balances.
ā¢ Verify justification of advances by staff and ensure no advance is provided before previous advance is justified.
ā¢ Maintain accurate and complete accounting records and audit information.
ā¢ Ensure costs are fairly procured from service providers (through a competitive process).
ā¢ Perform any other task as requested by the management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
ā¢ Bachelorās degree in accounting, management of finance or equivalent.
ā¢ Professional accounting certification is an added advantage.
ā¢ A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
Required Skills
ā¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and good command of verbal and written Kinyarwanda would be an added advantage.
ā¢ Computer skills: MS office, particularly advanced MS excel preferred. Good knowledge of accounting software packages, such QuickBooks is an added advantage.
ā¢ Good written and verbal skills in English and Kinyarwanda.
ā¢ Demonstrate organizational skills.
ā¢ Demonstrate interpersonal and communications skills as well as attention to detail.

ā¢ Excellent conceptual, analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.
ā¢ Excellent planning and prioritization skills.
ā¢ Ability to think strategically and propose solutions.
ā¢ Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
ā¢ Multi-tasking skills.
ā¢ Must be a self-motivated person able to work with minimal supervision.
