The Regional Rusumo Falls Hydro Electric Project (RRFHP) is a project of the Nile Basin Initiative implemented by the Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program Coordination Unit (NELSAP-CU) on behalf of the Rusumo Power Company Limited (RPCL) meant to benefit three neighbouring countries to name Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania. RRFHP is expected to produce about 80 MW on the Kagera River at the Rusumo Falls located on the border between Rwanda and Tanzania under a Runo (ROR) scheme.
The RPCL through NELSAP has received financing from the IDA the World Bank to the cost of Rusumo Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the repair of houses at Rusumo damaged by Blasting during construction of Rusumo power plant.
The NEL SAP now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for repair of houses at Rusumo damaged by Blasting during construction of Rusumo power plant.

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods. Works and NonConsulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers of February 2011 revised in July 2014 ("Procurement Guidelines"), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest)

Submission Procedure
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from NELSAP Rusumo Project, through Ingurinzira @nilebasin.org   and copy richuwimana @nilebasin.org  and usagara @nilebasin.org  and the bidding documents online through a request from the above mentioned email addresses. The tender document may also be obtained on the Website: www.rusumoproject.org
Bids must be submitted to the address below on or before 18 February 2022 at 11:00 am Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address above on 18 February 2022 at 11:30 Am.
A mandatory site visit at Rusumo where the houses are located is scheduled on 3rd February 2022, from 11:00 am to 2:00 PM. Interested Bidders will depart from Rusumo Project Site Office in Kiyanzi at 10:45 am and will be guided by a Project Engineer
