JOB DETAILS:
Piran Rwanda Resources Limited is a mining company focused on the production and exploration of tin, tantalum and tungsten. Piran, through its subsidiary Piran Rwanda Limited, holds a 25-year mining licence for the Musha and Ntunga mines in the prolific tin region of Eastern Rwanda. The company currently extracts Sn-Ta concentrate and is rapidly increasing production. After strengthening its financial position, bringing a Mineral Processing Plant on site, we need to prepare ourselves for a more complicated and faster paced style of operations by hiring new team members in the areas of things which will change significantly.
Piran Rwanda Ltd wishes to recruit a qualified, competent and proactive staff for the following position:
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Reports to: Surface Infrastructure Manager
Job Location: Musha and Ntunga Mines.
JOB PURPOSE:
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as power generators and circuit breakers. Applying knowledge of electricity and materials, Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring
• Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards,
• Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, and heating systems,
• Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction
• install electrical systems, wiring regulations, including installing heating and cooling systems
• Provide professional assessments and advice for better standards.
• Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps.
• Establishing construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
• Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
• Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
• Supervising or training project team members.
• Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
• Maintaining electrical equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited University.
• Must have working experience of 4-5 years in an industrial environment.
• Must have knowledge in Electronic Systems, Electronics Troubleshooting, Electronic Testing Design, Project Management, Quality Focus, Database Design, Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Attention to Detail, Emphasizing Excellence, Innovation.
Knowledge and Skills
• Instrumentation and Electrical Measurements Critical Thinking.
• Must have Interpersonal Communication,
• Must have Organizational skills and innovative thinking.
• Must have Instrumentation and Electrical Measurements skills
• Must be a quicker learner
