JOB DETAILS:
Seven United, (SUN) has an immediate opening for the Country Director position to join a high-performing team of staff, volunteers and students as they create and execute on projects designed to improve access to education for low-income young people in Rwanda and to advance youth social entrepreneurship. Leading an energetic and growing team, the Country Director will report to the SUN ‘s Board of Directors and Trustees and will be responsible for a variety of administrative, communication, and program-related tasks. The CD will work as a meaningful thought partner to colleagues throughout the development, execution, and evaluation of strategic programming for the organization and as the first point of contact for external stakeholders. The Country Director has the overall responsibility for the strategic leadership and direction of the Seven United Rwanda programs to achieve the organizational vision, mission, and objectives. S/he represents SUN with government, local and international organizations in the country. S/he will take a leading role in developing, overseeing implementation, reviewing and monitoring of the strategy and ensuring the same in line with global strategic directions and overall mission. .
Job Responsibilities
• Creating project proposals and growing a network of partners
• Systematically track the implementation organizations growth strategy
• Ensure general upkeep and reinforcement of important cultural norms in SUN office
• Maintain organization network of stakeholders and engaging them productively
• Executing the SUN’s vision to its fullest and leveraging its growth potential
• Management a wide team of volunteers effectively to accomplish the organization’s goals
• Oversee program portfolio to ensure the highest level of project quality and accountability, while fostering continuity through building local capacity and developing innovative program interventions

Job Qualifications
• A minimum of two 2 years of relevant project management, fundraising and/or office-related management experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
• Rwandan nationality and under 35 years old
• Successful candidates will possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; the ability to prioritize and handle a wide range of tasks and projects simultaneously; good judgment; strong initiative and problem-solving skills; and strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of and interest in the non-profit sector and in the field of education is strongly preferred, as are:
• Excellent English writing skills.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative but also to seek and take direction appropriately. Learning mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Demonstrated interest in social innovation and social impact.
