OPEN TENDER NOTICE
Title: Construction of manholes and supply and installation of hydraulic equipment on 10 selected water supply systems from 9 districts of the Isoko y’Ubuzima intervention area.
Water For People has received funds from USAID to implement the Isoko y’ Ubuzima Project. The Isoko y’ Ubuzima Project is to be implemented from July 2021 to July 2026 by a consortium led by Water For People to improve WASH service delivery. Other members of the consortium are IRC, Vitens Evides International (VEI), CARE International, and African Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE).
The overall goal of Isoko y’ Ubuzima is to improve the access to sustainable water and sanitation services which is critical to improved health outcomes, improving the living standards of Rwandan citizens, and achieving Rwanda’s development goals.
Under Strategic Objective 2, the Isoko y’Ubuzima project aided private operators in enhancing service delivery by minimizing non-revenue water at selected Water Supply Systems (WSS) per district through the implementation of the District Metered Areas (DMA) approach. In this context, bulk water meters were installed to measure the system input in each established DMA, and customer connections were mapped for all selected water supply systems to facilitate the identification of water consumption in their respective DMAs.
To effectively monitor and manage non-revenue water within the established DMAs, the project plans to install Sub-DMAs for the water supply systems to precisely track water loss. Additionally, the project aims to install hydraulic equipment that will serve the purpose of controlling and safeguarding water supply infrastructures.
As a result, Water For People is inviting interested and qualified suppliers of the hydraulic materials and equipment listed in the attached file to submit their quotations to Water For People. Site visits are scheduled from February 19th to 23rd 2024 to all 10 selected water supply systems as highlighted in the tender document.
All bids must be submitted online to rwprocurement@waterforpeople.org with the subject "Construction of manholes and supply and installation of hydraulic equipment on 10 selected water supply systems from 9 districts of the Isoko y’Ubuzima intervention area," no later than 11:59 PM (Local Time) on 3rd March 2024. The bids will remain valid for 120 days from the indicated submission deadline.
