Dignity in Detention (DIDE) is a Rwandan registered non-profit organization with extensive experience in training justice officials and working within Rwanda’s prison system to provide rehabilitative psycho-social support to detainees. DIDE has been conducting projects in Rwanda for more than 20 years to ensure that women and adolescents in detention enjoy the protection, mental care and education they deserve.
In partnership with Interpeace, HAGURUKA and PFR, DIDE is co-implementing a societal healing programme entitled “Reinforcing community capacity for social cohesion and reconciliation through Societal Healing in Rwanda”. As part of the program activities, DIDE is required to hire a consultant/ company to train TVET trainers (TOT) into the four correctional facilities namely Nyagatare, Ngoma, Musanze and Nyamagabe in the domains of tailoring, welding, hairdressing and different handcrafts, plus some crosscutting subjects or life skills including entrepreneurship, marketing and gender.
2.1. Provide support in setting up criteria for the selection of inmates- trainers;

2.2. Prepare a training plan for review and approval by the Program team, reflecting the necessary activities and schedule, required inputs and resources.

2.3. Based on the approved learning approaches, prepare presentation materials including PowerPoint slides, visual aids, session plans, hands-on exercises, and other supplementary training materials.

2.4. Implement a Training of Trainers program for at least 40 trainers in different domains as follows:

2.5. Administer pre-training evaluation forms and prepare required post-training reports incorporating evaluation results and trainer’s views on lessons learned and recommendations. + individual files

The consultants will be required for approximately 20 working days of training for each correction facility and 2 days per month of follow up for the six months following the training. The assignment is to be completed by the selected consultants for around 190 Working Days from the date of signing of the contract.
