JOB DETAILS:
15 Isomo Academic Fellows
Over the last 10 years, Bridge2Rwanda has become an expert at bursting the bottlenecks that prevent Rwanda’s brightest students from competing and winning university scholarships. Our experience identifying and preparing Rwanda’s most promising students has given us a deep understanding of the skills gap that continues to limit students’ competitiveness in pursuing higher education, such as English proficiency, critical thinking skills, standardized test preparation and navigating the university admissions process.
To address these issues and broaden our impact, Bridge2Rwanda launched Isomo Academy — an intensive English training and college preparatory program designed to equip Rwanda’s top high school students with the skills they need to compete and win university scholarships inside and outside Rwanda. This program will be fully residential for an 8-week period during the summer.
Isomo Academy is embarking on its second year of establishing a rigorous, rich, fun, and exciting learning experience for each student including activities and community-building outside of the classroom. In Summer 2022, Year 2 Isomo Senior Scholars (rising S6 students) are returning for a second year at Isomo Academy, and we are welcoming a new class of Year 1 Isomo Junior Scholars (rising S5 students) to start the Isomo Academy experience. As we plan and build the second year of this transformational program, we are excited to invite enthusiastic, passionate, high-capacity young leaders to apply for different positions on our team. Our team shares a few things: an infectious passion for learning, excitement for exploring new models of education and youth empowerment, and a fun-loving environment that fosters a sense of accountability, community-engagement, and servant leadership.
Reach out to us at ldreilling@bridge2rwanda.org or bmugisha@bridge2rwanda.org for any questions, comments, or ideas about how to make Isomo an excellent place for learning and growth.
