JOB DETAILS:
Justice and Peace Commission of Gikongoro Diocese (CDJP Gikongoro), through its project of “Enhancing women’s capacity for effective participation in decision making” funded by Trocaire, would like to recruit one Project officer who will work for this project which will be implemented in Nyamagabe and Nyaruguru Districts especially in Uwinkingi and Ruramba sectors respectively. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Implement all project activities in the above two sectors as the intervention area of the project;
• Monitor the implementation of the project in the community;
• Conduct community sessions for project beneficiaries as well as local authorities and members of informal structures to influence the role of women in decision-making processes;
• Create and operationalize women’s only spaces in the area of interventions;
• Collaborate hand in hand, with local authorities in the intervention area;
• Elaborate weekly, monthly and quarterly both action plan and report to be presented to the donor and implement such an action plan according to the budget ad hoc;
• Participate in the meeting invited either by our donors or local authorities especially JADF meeting at all levels;
• Participate annually in the elaboration of the project result framework;
• Monitor the project objectives achievement through the project result framework;
• Monitor regularly in collaboration with accountant the project budget use;
• Report regularly to the Coordinator of CDJP Gikongoro and through him to the President;
• Any other task required by his/her superior.

Job Qualifications:
• Being of Rwandan nationality;
• Have a bachelor’s degree (A0) Social sciences (Education, Sociology, Social Work, Social Development, Peace Building, Gender);
• Have a driving license, Category A;
• Have experience of working with CSOs especially with women at least 3 years;
• Be fluent in English, French, and Kinyarwanda. The working language is English and French in both reporting and dealing with project content while in the community is Kinyarwanda.
• Have the capacity and competencies in community mobilization;
• Be ready to start any time while shortlisted and passed the exam;
• Be a hard worker and always positive, collaborative and gender and women empowerment activist;
• Provide teamwork capacity as an obligation;
• Be familiar with some project’s terms such as indicators, output, outcomes, impacts, result framework, a theory of change …and how to apply them within the project’s cycle;
• To be a woman candidate is an added value.
