Background
In 2018, Imbuto Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Sports and Culture and Rwanda Academy of language and Culture launched ArtRwanda-Ubuhanzi project, a talent development programme for employment creation across the country. This programme targeted young talented people from six art categories (Plastic arts, music & dance, fashion, acting & drama, photography & cinematography, literature). Following an intensive period of talent search and a bootcamp for 70 finalists, prior to the Grand Finale, it was observed that these young people needed further empowerment in business/entrepreneurial skills, industrial technical skills. It was also observed that the finalists needed more support in defining their value proposition, understanding the market environment and marketing their products both nationally and internationally, considering the global digital economy.
Position Scope
The Project Officer for the Incubation programme will be working closely with Imbuto Foundation and its other partners to ensure the smooth development and implementation of the operations, planning, marketing and development of the ArtRwanda – Ubuhanzi Incubator.
This newly created position therefore requires a highly energetic team player with excellent leadership qualities, strong marketing and digital skills, a professional and positive attitude and strong organization and planning skills who is able to work independently and proactively. They must be able to manage multiple projects, given the range of services that will be provided. Duration of the Contract
The initial contract term is 12 months with extension possibilities depending on performance and ongoing needs.
VI. Reporting
The Project Officer for the Incubation Programme will report to the Director General of Imbuto Foundation on a monthly basis. .

Job Duties
The Project Officer for the Incubation programme will be responsible for ensuring the overall planning of the Incubation – including resource planning and managing budgets – to ensure that Imbuto Foundation and its partners, are able to work smoothly with the artists.
This would be inclusive of the following activities:
• Supporting Imbuto Foundation and its partners in delivering industrial, technical and entrepreneurship training to all artists across all six art categories; ensuring the smooth running and implementation of the incubation training calendar.
• Managing the incubation centre from the induction process, trainings, to monitor and track the activities of the incubation process, to support the artists prepare proposals for getting funding.
• Identify and support artists to participate in various exhibition/workshops/events/webinars as well as hosting events/workshops
• Support the development and implementation of the mentor network, and support the work of the mentors.
• Identify potential partnerships with other organizations for providing services to the incubation centre and Liaison with the creative industries at national and international level.
• Marketing and Business Development with media and public related opportunities and actively promote the work of the incubator in the media.
• Funding for Incubation Projects: Work with Imbuto Foundation and its delivery partners to identify possible routes to seed-funding and other forms of funding for the creative enterprises.
• Building and Managing the Incubation team to deliver as per the annual plan.
• Preparing all required reports and maintaining a comprehensive set of records on finances, all artist activity, delivery partner creativity and other activity that may be required from time to time.
• Administration of the Incubator and any other activities which requires the Officer’s involvement from time to time.

Requirements
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience of project management in business incubation with a specific knowledge of the creative art.
• Computer literate proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database.
• Knowledge and application of the use of social media and other digital communication channels including YouTube, WordPress and other packages.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in both Kinyarwanda, French and English languages.
