Job Description
Job Purpose: The Human Resource Intern is to assist the HR Manager in the day-to-day management of the Human Resources function of the Rwanda Country Office. The intern will support efficient and careful documentation of staff files, coordinate recruitment processes, and coordinate field staff, providing HR support as needed.
Key Position Roles and Responsibilities
• Maintain up to date HR personnel records, and exercise confidentiality at all times
• Organising of staff files for easy tracing during audits
• Arrange for on boarding and induction of new staff
• Set up and update the HR files for appointed candidates once contract is signed
• Scanning of documents and sharing with respective staff in the field offices
• Support with the recruitment process by confirming interview date/time with candidates and panel members, ensuring copies of CVs are available
• Support with booking boardroom for interviews
• Obtain references, correspond with selected candidates regarding offers, and providing feedback to the unsuccessful candidates in the form of regrets
• Arrange necessary HR exit processes for separating staff
• Support with any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, social sciences, business administration, or psychology.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and good interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish and maintain working relations in a multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.
• Strong language skills in English and Kinyarwanda
• Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
• Excellent time management and planning capacity
Terms of appointment:
• Contract Type: Full time (40 hours per week)
• Contract Duration: 1 year
• Expected Start Date: January 6, 2025
